Tactical Iraqi wins 2007 I/ITSEC Serious Games Showcase & Challenge

Tactical Iraqi wins DARPA's 2005 Award for Significant Technical Achievement

"I can best summarize Tactical Iraqi's success by quoting one soldier's words: 'I learned more Arabic in one day with it than I learned in my whole tour in Iraq.'"
Dr. Anthony J. Tether, Director, Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency

"The idea is to put behind every steering wheel and behind every trigger finger in a foreign country a little bit of that culture and language....I'll be happy if this could save just one life by preventing a misunderstanding."
Dr. Ralph Chatham, Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency

Results

Since the first release of the Tactical Iraqi Language & Culture Training System in August 2006 — followed by the releases of Tactical Pashto and Tactical French courses in 2007 — outcomes have been and continue to be excellent.

Over 20,000 U.S. servicemen and a growing number of members of the Australian Defence Force have successfully learned and transferred to the real world the Iraqi Arabic, Pashto, and Sahel French language skills they acquired with our training programs.

An evaluation of the Tactical Iraqi course by the U.S. Special Operations Command found that trainees learn Arabic to an Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) proficiency of 0+ after as little as a week of study. Many rate our courses better — and more fun — than other self-study and instructor-led classes.
